Technical report on "proof of concept trial of vsat based train control communication system"

Railway Board vide letter no. 2010/Tele/IF/1/UIC dated 21.02.2011 had conveyed sanction of UIC for a project to develop VSAT based Train Control Communication System to be taken up by RDSO. It was further directed by Railway Board (vide letter no. 2010/Tele/IF/1/UIC dated 07.6.2011) that FRS should be prepared in such a way that the system may be integrated with Railway's VSAT Hub. Indian Institute of Technology/Kanpur (IITK) had expressed willingness to UIC Asia and RDSO to undertake this project vide letter dated 4.8.2011. UIC Asia had given in principle acceptance to IITK as technical partner with RDSO.
