The underlying research was aimed at identifying the elements that can reduce or increase the perceived quality of major interchanges. The quality of an interchange is defined by a number of key qualities (i.e.key performance indicators) composing the general perception and performance of the station. The key qualities considered in this research cover different aspects, such as perceived security, maintenance, light quality, level of service facilities, retail, and similar vital areas. We have developed this Toolkit in order to guide operators, authorities, architects, real estate advisers, as well as policy makers.
