Railway applications - Composition and calculation of the mass and braking performance of locomotive hauled passenger trains

This IRS defines the following conditions to be observed for the operation of passenger trains consisting of locomotives and vehicles of the types listed in point 2 - page 10:
- maximum train composition limit expressed in number of vehicles, axles, hauled tonnage and train length,
- calculation of the total mass of the trains,
- calculation of the minimum required braking performance.
It sets out recommendations for braking in winter conditions.
