RAIL Information System and Analyses (RAILISA)

RAILISA is an online query tool that enables users to visualize and download up-to-date data provided by railway companies worldwide. It offers a wide range of indicators for more than 100 railway companies, including:

·       Length of lines and tracks in the infrastructure network;
·       Passenger and freight traffic (e.g., passenger-kilometres, tonne-kilometres);
·       Train movements;
·       Rolling stock;
·       Staff strength;
·       Financial results, and more.

Some of these indicators have been documented since 1995, and the database is regularly updated.

Data visualization is available free of charge. However, downloading data files requires a subscription, which costs €350 (VAT excluded) per user, per year. To subscribe, please contact our sales department at ETFpubli@uic.org.
