Comparative bench tests performed during 2019/2020 to maintain UIC certification for braking test benches
WG B 126.3 was tasked by SET 7 with conducting comparative bench tests, the aim of which was, respectively, to maintain certification for railway/manufacturers' test benches or certify them for the first time.
The present report outlines:
- the reasons for the changes to the test programme for brake pads,
- the decisions taken,
- the definition of new median values for the CoFren T30S brake pad, the Jurid 816M brake block and the CoFren C952-1 brake block,
- the tests conducted, as well as the results for the individual test benches.
